This is defined all network parameter how TCP/IP service, SNMP service, HTTP service, WAP service and network security.
TCP/IP service
Server enabled: allow to connect to this system from other remote
Upsagent or Upsview program. Default: Yes.
UDP Port: the UDP communication port. This must to be same
on server and client side. Default: 33000.
Note: in order to communicate by means of TCP/IP with one or more UPS is necessary to define
these UPS in the page Connection
SNMP service
SNMP enabled: allow support for SNMP. Default: No.
HTTP service
HTTP enabled: allow support for HTTP. Default: No.
HTTP path: specify where Upsagent create files with UPS status
for HTTP monitoring. Default: empty.
WAP service
WAP enabled: allow support for WAP. Default: No.
The Upsagent support network WAP connections now. By Upsetup may to be allowed this type of communication, by manual modification of upsmon.ini may to be changed default basic WAP port (9200). Upsagent opens 8 sockets (9200-9207 - default) and on this ports waiting for WAP connection.
Both basic types: connection-based and connectionless is supported. The secure connections is not supported
Network security
Ignore remote UPS commands: if is checked this checkbox, then all
commands from remote computer (by Upsagent or Upsview) is ignored.
This feature is added for high security from possible commands how shutdown of
UPS from remote connection to Upsagent and prevent from unattended shutdown of
computer if UPS output is shutdown.
Password protection: the remote communication through network can to be secured
by password. Here is point for set password value. Default: No password.
